The Unibator is the “breeding ground for innovation” of Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. It supports students, staff and alumni of all departments in the implementation of scientific findings and resulting business ideas into marketable products and services. Founders go through an 18-month startup program with the goal of developing a validated and scalable business model. The Unibator has established a focus in the area of FinTech together with the research-strong Department of Economics.
As part of the Startup Program, individual offices, coworking space and a meeting room can be used. This creates a vibrant and creative startup culture.
The Unibator supports startups in their search for suitable funding opportunities, such as the EXIST startup grant. In addition, startups are supported in their search for suitable investors as part of the Startup Support Program.
The Goethe Innovation Prize was launched in 2012 and rewards outstanding startups with attractive prize money as part of the Innovation Forum.
The Unibator StartupProgram, with a funding period of up to 18 months, includes support on startup-related topics, events and use of the Unibator infrastructure, among other things.
The Unibator network consists of mentors with start-up experience, alumni of the Unibator start-up program, and numerous partners from the media, industry and politics.
The Unibator organizes and supports numerous events such as pitches, lectures and workshops with renowned guests.
The Unibator offers various courses on the topic of start-ups, such as the “iGarage” and “Entrepreneurship.”
